This list does not at all mean that the authors are 44 (given that there were only 2 sons of Korey).
Perhaps Moses wrote Genesis after all.
Perhaps Paul wrote Hebrews after all.
Perhaps Job was written by Moses.
So the list of authors could get noticeably shorter.
On the other hand, we don't know all the authors of the Psalms.
So the correct number of authors in Bible is about 40.
