οτι ^G3754 λυπη ^G3077 μοι ^G3427 εστιν ^G2076 ^G5748 μεγαλη ^G3173 και ^G2532 αδιαλειπτος ^G88 οδυνη ^G3601 τη ^G3588 καρδια ^G2588 μου ^G3450	2	that I have great^G3173 sorrow^G3077 and unceasing^G88 grief^G3601 in my heart.^G2588

ουχ ^G3756 οιον ^G3634 δε ^G1161 οτι ^G3754 εκπεπτωκεν ^G1601 ^G5758 ο ^G3588 λογος ^G3056 του ^G3588 θεου ^G2316 ου ^G3756 γαρ ^G1063 παντες ^G3956 οι ^G3588 εξ ^G1537 ισραηλ ^G2474 ουτοι ^G3778 ισραηλ ^G2474	6	But [it is] not as though^G3754 the word^G3056 of God^G2316 has failed.^G1601 For they are not all^G3956 Israel^G2274 who^G3588 are [descended] from Israel;^G2274
ουδ ^G3761 οτι ^G3754 εισιν ^G1526 ^G5748 σπερμα ^G4690 αβρααμ ^G11 παντες ^G3956 τεκνα ^G5043 αλλ ^G235 εν ^G1722 ισαακ ^G2464 κληθησεται ^G2564 ^G5701 σοι ^G4671 σπερμα ^G4690	7	neither^G3761 are they all^G3956 children^G5043 because^G3754 they are Abraham's descendants,^G4690 but: "through^G1722 Isaac^G2464 your descendants^G4690 will be named.^G2564"
τουτ ^G5124 εστιν ^G2076 ^G5748 ου ^G3756 τα ^G3588 τεκνα ^G5043 της ^G3588 σαρκος ^G4561 ταυτα ^G5023 τεκνα ^G5043 του ^G3588 θεου ^G2316 αλλα ^G235 τα ^G3588 τεκνα ^G5043 της ^G3588 επαγγελιας ^G1860 λογιζεται ^G3049 ^G5736 εις ^G1519 σπερμα ^G4690	8	That is, it is not the children^G5043 of the flesh^G4561 who^G3778 are children^G5043 of God,^G2316 but the children^G5043 of the promise^G1860 are regarded^G3049 as descendants.^G4690
επαγγελιας ^G1860 γαρ ^G1063 ο ^G3588 λογος ^G3056 ουτος ^G3778 κατα ^G2596 τον ^G3588 καιρον ^G2540 τουτον ^G5126 ελευσομαι ^G2064 ^G5695 και ^G2532 εσται ^G2071 ^G5704 τη ^G3588 σαρρα ^G4564 υιος ^G5207	9	For this^G3778 is a word^G3056 of promise:^G1860 "At this^G3778 time^G2540 I will come,^G2064 and Sarah^G4564 shall have a son.^G5207"
ου ^G3756 μονον ^G3440 δε ^G1161 αλλα ^G235 και ^G2532 ρεβεκκα ^G4479 εξ ^G1537 ενος ^G1520 κοιτην ^G2845 εχουσα ^G2192 ^G5723 ισαακ ^G2464 του ^G3588 πατρος ^G3962 ημων ^G2257	10	And not only^G3440 this, but there was Rebekah^G4479 also,^G2532 when she had conceived^G2845 ^G2192 [twins] by one^G1520 man,^G1520 our father^G3962 Isaac;^G2464
μηπω ^G3380 γαρ ^G1063 γεννηθεντων ^G1080 ^G5685 μηδε ^G3366 πραξαντων ^G4238 ^G5660 τι ^G5100 αγαθον ^G18 η ^G2228 κακον ^G2556 ινα ^G2443 η ^G3588 κατ ^G2596 εκλογην ^G1589 του ^G3588 θεου ^G2316 προθεσις ^G4286 μενη ^G3306 ^G5725 ουκ ^G3756 εξ ^G1537 εργων ^G2041 αλλ ^G235 εκ ^G1537 του ^G3588 καλουντος ^G2564 ^G5723	11	for though [the twins] were not yet^G3380 born,^G1080 and had not done^G4238 anything^G5100 good^G18 or^G2228 bad,^G5337 in order^G2443 that God's purpose^G4286 according^G2596 to [His] choice^G1589 might stand,^G3306 not because^G1537 of works,^G2041 but because^G1537 of Him who calls,^G2564
ερρηθη ^G4483 ^G5681 αυτη ^G846 οτι ^G3754 ο ^G3588 μειζων ^G3187 δουλευσει ^G1398 ^G5692 τω ^G3588 ελασσονι ^G1640	12	it was said^G3004 to her, "The older^G3173 will serve^G1398 the younger.^G1640"
καθως ^G2531 γεγραπται ^G1125 ^G5769 τον ^G3588 ιακωβ ^G2384 ηγαπησα ^G25 ^G5656 τον ^G3588 δε ^G1161 ησαυ ^G2269 εμισησα ^G3404 ^G5656	13	Just^G2509 as it is written,^G1125 "Jacob^G2384 I loved,^G25 but Esau^G2269 I hated.^G3404"
τι ^G5101 ουν ^G3767 ερουμεν ^G2046 ^G5692 μη ^G3361 αδικια ^G93 παρα ^G3844 τω ^G3588 θεω ^G2316 μη ^G3361 γενοιτο ^G1096 ^G5636	14	What^G5101 shall we say^G3004 then^G3767? There is no^G3361 injustice^G93 with God,^G2316 is there? May it never^G3361 be!
τω ^G3588 γαρ ^G1063 μωση ^G3475 λεγει ^G3004 ^G5719 ελεησω ^G1653 ^G5692 ον ^G3739 αν ^G302 ελεω ^G1653 ^G5725 και ^G2532 οικτειρησω ^G3627 ^G5692 ον ^G3739 αν ^G302 οικτειρω ^G3627 ^G5725	15	For He says^G3004 to Moses,^G3475 "I will have^G1653 mercy^G1653 on whom^G3739 I have^G1653 mercy,^G1653 and I will have^G3627 compassion^G3627 on whom^G3739 I have^G3627 compassion.^G3627"
αρα ^G686 ουν ^G3767 ου ^G3756 του ^G3588 θελοντος ^G2309 ^G5723 ουδε ^G3761 του ^G3588 τρεχοντος ^G5143 ^G5723 αλλα ^G235 του ^G3588 ελεουντος ^G1653 ^G5723 θεου ^G2316	16	So^G686 then^G686 it [does] not [depend] on the man who wills^G2309 or^G3761 the man who runs,^G5143 but on God^G2316 who has^G1653 mercy.^G1653
λεγει ^G3004 ^G5719 γαρ ^G1063 η ^G3588 γραφη ^G1124 τω ^G3588 φαραω ^G5328 οτι ^G3754 εις ^G1519 αυτο ^G846 τουτο ^G5124 εξηγειρα ^G1825 ^G5656 σε ^G4571 οπως ^G3704 ενδειξωμαι ^G1731 ^G5672 εν ^G1722 σοι ^G4671 την ^G3588 δυναμιν ^G1411 μου ^G3450 και ^G2532 οπως ^G3704 διαγγελη ^G1229 ^G5652 το ^G3588 ονομα ^G3686 μου ^G3450 εν ^G1722 παση ^G3956 τη ^G3588 γη ^G1093	17	For the Scripture^G1124 says^G3004 to Pharaoh,^G5328 "For this^G3778 very^G846 purpose I raised^G1825 you up, to demonstrate^G1731 My power^G1411 in you, and that My name^G3686 might be proclaimed^G1229 throughout^G1722 the whole^G3956 earth.^G1093"
αρα ^G686 ουν ^G3767 ον ^G3739 θελει ^G2309 ^G5719 ελεει ^G1653 ^G5719 ον ^G3739 δε ^G1161 θελει ^G2309 ^G5719 σκληρυνει ^G4645 ^G5719	18	So^G686 then^G686 He has^G1653 mercy^G1653 on whom^G3739 He desires,^G2309 and He hardens^G4645 whom^G3739 He desires.^G2309
ερεις ^G2046 ^G5692 ουν ^G3767 μοι ^G3427 τι ^G5101 ετι ^G2089 μεμφεται ^G3201 ^G5736 τω ^G3588 γαρ ^G1063 βουληματι ^G1013 αυτου ^G846 τις ^G5101 ανθεστηκεν ^G436 ^G5758	19	You will say^G3004 to me then,^G3767 "Why^G5101 does He still^G2089 find^G3201 fault^G3201? For who^G5101 resists^G436 His will^G1013?"
μενουνγε ^G3304 ω ^G5599 ανθρωπε ^G444 συ ^G4771 τις ^G5101 ει ^G1488 ^G5748 ο ^G3588 ανταποκρινομενος ^G470 ^G5740 τω ^G3588 θεω ^G2316 μη ^G3361 ερει ^G2046 ^G5692 το ^G3588 πλασμα ^G4110 τω ^G3588 πλασαντι ^G4111 ^G5660 τι ^G5101 με ^G3165 εποιησας ^G4160 ^G5656 ουτως ^G3779	20	On the contrary,^G3304 who^G5101 are you, O^G5599 man,^G444 who answers^G470 back^G470 to God^G2316? The thing^G4110 molded^G4110 will not say^G3004 to the molder,^G4111 "Why^G5101 did you make^G4160 me like^G3779 this,^G3779" will it?
η ^G2228 ουκ ^G3756 εχει ^G2192 ^G5719 εξουσιαν ^G1849 ο ^G3588 κεραμευς ^G2763 του ^G3588 πηλου ^G4081 εκ ^G1537 του ^G3588 αυτου ^G846 φυραματος ^G5445 ποιησαι ^G4160 ^G5658 ο ^G3739 μεν ^G3303 εις ^G1519 τιμην ^G5092 σκευος ^G4632 ο ^G3739 δε ^G1161 εις ^G1519 ατιμιαν ^G819	21	Or^G2228 does not the potter^G2763 have^G2192 a right^G1849 over the clay,^G4081 to make^G4160 from the same^G846 lump^G5445 one^G3739 ^G3303 vessel^G4632 for honorable^G5092 use,^G5092 and another^G3739 ^G1161 for common^G819 use^G819?
ει ^G1487 δε ^G1161 θελων ^G2309 ^G5723 ο ^G3588 θεος ^G2316 ενδειξασθαι ^G1731 ^G5670 την ^G3588 οργην ^G3709 και ^G2532 γνωρισαι ^G1107 ^G5658 το ^G3588 δυνατον ^G1415 αυτου ^G846 ηνεγκεν ^G5342 ^G5656 εν ^G1722 πολλη ^G4183 μακροθυμια ^G3115 σκευη ^G4632 οργης ^G3709 κατηρτισμενα ^G2675 ^G5772 εις ^G1519 απωλειαν ^G684	22	What^G1161 if^G1487 God,^G2316 although willing^G2309 to demonstrate^G1731 His wrath^G3709 and to make^G1107 His power^G1415 known,^G1107 endured^G5342 with much^G4183 patience^G3115 vessels^G4632 of wrath^G3709 prepared^G2675 for destruction^G684?
και ^G2532 ινα ^G2443 γνωριση ^G1107 ^G5661 τον ^G3588 πλουτον ^G4149 της ^G3588 δοξης ^G1391 αυτου ^G846 επι ^G1909 σκευη ^G4632 ελεους ^G1656 α ^G3739 προητοιμασεν ^G4282 ^G5656 εις ^G1519 δοξαν ^G1391	23	And [He did so] in order^G2443 that He might make^G1107 known^G1107 the riches^G4149 of His glory^G1391 upon vessels^G4632 of mercy,^G1656 which^G3739 He prepared^G4282 beforehand^G4282 for glory,^G1391
ους ^G3739 και ^G2532 εκαλεσεν ^G2564 ^G5656 ημας ^G2248 ου ^G3756 μονον ^G3440 εξ ^G1537 ιουδαιων ^G2453 αλλα ^G235 και ^G2532 εξ ^G1537 εθνων ^G1484	24	[even] us, whom^G3739 He also^G2532 called,^G2564 not from among^G1537 Jews^G2453 only,^G3440 but also^G2532 from among^G1537 Gentiles.^G1484
ως ^G5613 και ^G2532 εν ^G1722 τω ^G3588 ωσηε ^G5617 λεγει ^G3004 ^G5719 καλεσω ^G2564 ^G5692 τον ^G3588 ου ^G3756 λαον ^G2992 μου ^G3450 λαον ^G2992 μου ^G3450 και ^G2532 την ^G3588 ουκ ^G3756 ηγαπημενην ^G25 ^G5772 ηγαπημενην ^G25 ^G5772	25	As He says^G3004 also^G2532 in Hosea,^G5617 "I will call^G2564 those^G3588 who were not My people,^G2992 'My people,^G2992' And her who was not beloved,^G25 'beloved.^G25'"
και ^G2532 εσται ^G2071 ^G5704 εν ^G1722 τω ^G3588 τοπω ^G5117 ου ^G3739 ^G3757 ερρηθη ^G4483 ^G5681 αυτοις ^G846 ου ^G3756 λαος ^G2992 μου ^G3450 υμεις ^G5210 εκει ^G1563 κληθησονται ^G2564 ^G5701 υιοι ^G5207 θεου ^G2316 ζωντος ^G2198 ^G5723	26	"And it shall be that in the place^G5117 where^G3757 it was said^G3004 to them, 'you are not My people,^G2992' There^G1563 they shall be called^G2564 sons^G5207 of the living^G2198 God.^G2316"
ησαιας ^G2268 δε ^G1161 κραζει ^G2896 ^G5719 υπερ ^G5228 του ^G3588 ισραηλ ^G2474 εαν ^G1437 η ^G5600 ^G5753 ο ^G3588 αριθμος ^G706 των ^G3588 υιων ^G5207 ισραηλ ^G2474 ως ^G5613 η ^G3588 αμμος ^G285 της ^G3588 θαλασσης ^G2281 το ^G3588 καταλειμμα ^G2640 σωθησεται ^G4982 ^G5701	27	And Isaiah^G2268 cries^G2896 out concerning^G5228 Israel,^G2474 "Though^G1437 the number^G706 of the sons^G5207 of Israel^G2274 be as the sand^G285 of the sea,^G2281 it is the remnant^G5275 that will be saved;^G4982
λογον ^G3056 γαρ ^G1063 συντελων ^G4931 ^G5723 και ^G2532 συντεμνων ^G4932 ^G5723 εν ^G1722 δικαιοσυνη ^G1343 οτι ^G3754 λογον ^G3056 συντετμημενον ^G4932 ^G5772 ποιησει ^G4160 ^G5692 κυριος ^G2962 επι ^G1909 της ^G3588 γης ^G1093	28	for the Lord^G2962 will execute^G4160 His word^G3056 upon the earth,^G1093 thoroughly^G4931 and quickly.^G4932 "
και ^G2532 καθως ^G2531 προειρηκεν ^G4280 ^G5758 ησαιας ^G2268 ει ^G1487 μη ^G3361 κυριος ^G2962 σαβαωθ ^G4519 εγκατελιπεν ^G1459 ^G5627 ημιν ^G2254 σπερμα ^G4690 ως ^G5613 σοδομα ^G4670 αν ^G302 εγενηθημεν ^G1096 ^G5675 και ^G2532 ως ^G5613 γομορρα ^G1116 αν ^G302 ωμοιωθημεν ^G3666 ^G5681	29	And just^G2531 as Isaiah^G2268 foretold,^G4275 "Except^G1508 the Lord^G2962 of Sabaoth^G4519 had left^G1459 to us a posterity,^G4690 We would have become^G1096 as Sodom,^G4670 and would have resembled^G3666 Gomorrah.^G1116"
τι ^G5101 ουν ^G3767 ερουμεν ^G2046 ^G5692 οτι ^G3754 εθνη ^G1484 τα ^G3588 μη ^G3361 διωκοντα ^G1377 ^G5723 δικαιοσυνην ^G1343 κατελαβεν ^G2638 ^G5627 δικαιοσυνην ^G1343 δικαιοσυνην ^G1343 δε ^G1161 την ^G3588 εκ ^G1537 πιστεως ^G4102	30	What^G5101 shall we say^G3004 then^G3767? That Gentiles,^G1484 who did not pursue^G1377 righteousness,^G1343 attained^G2638 righteousness,^G1343 even^G1161 the righteousness^G1343 which is by faith;^G4102
ισραηλ ^G2474 δε ^G1161 διωκων ^G1377 ^G5723 νομον ^G3551 δικαιοσυνης ^G1343 εις ^G1519 νομον ^G3551 δικαιοσυνης ^G1343 ουκ ^G3756 εφθασεν ^G5348 ^G5656	31	but Israel,^G2474 pursuing^G1377 a law^G3551 of righteousness,^G1343 did not arrive^G5348 at [that] law.^G3551
δια ^G1223 τι ^G5101 οτι ^G3754 ουκ ^G3756 εκ ^G1537 πιστεως ^G4102 αλλ ^G235 ως ^G5613 εξ ^G1537 εργων ^G2041 νομου ^G3551 προσεκοψαν ^G4350 ^G5656 γαρ ^G1063 τω ^G3588 λιθω ^G3037 του ^G3588 προσκομματος ^G4348	32	Why^G1223 ^G5101? Because^G3754 [they did] not [pursue it] by faith,^G4102 but as though^G5613 [it were] by works.^G2041 They stumbled^G4350 over^G4350 the stumbling^G4348 stone,^G3037
καθως ^G2531 γεγραπται ^G1125 ^G5769 ιδου ^G2400 ^G5628 τιθημι ^G5087 ^G5719 εν ^G1722 σιων ^G4622 λιθον ^G3037 προσκομματος ^G4348 και ^G2532 πετραν ^G4073 σκανδαλου ^G4625 και ^G2532 πας ^G3956 ο ^G3588 πιστευων ^G4100 ^G5723 επ ^G1909 αυτω ^G846 ου ^G3756 καταισχυνθησεται ^G2617 ^G5701	33	just^G2531 as it is written,^G1125 "Behold,^G2400 I lay^G5087 in Zion^G4622 a stone^G3037 of stumbling^G4348 and a rock^G4073 of offense,^G4625 And he who believes^G4100 in Him will not be disappointed.^G2617"
