OEB - Open English Bible, New Testament and Psalms: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.

MLV - Modern Literal Version: For God so loved* the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life.
