Shema Yisrael
- a prayer that every orthodox Jew prays every day.
It consists of 2 parts (lines):
1 - Deut. 6:4
Hear, O Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.
2 - Tradition
Blessed be the name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever.
Transliteration
YHWH is pronounced as ADONAI (Lord)
Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Eḥad
Baruch shem kevod malchuto le'olam va'ed.
