6'Therefore,^H3651 prophesy^H5012 concerning^H5921 the land^H127 of Israel,^H3478 and say^H559 to the mountains^H2022 and to the hills,^H1389 to the ravines^H650 and to the valleys,^H1516 "Thus^H3541 says^H559 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 'Behold,^H2009 I have spoken^H1696 in My jealousy^H7068 and in My wrath^H2534 because^H3282 you have endured^H5375 the insults^H3639 of the nations.^H1471'

8'But you, O mountains^H2022 of Israel,^H3478 you will put^H5414 forth your branches^H6057 and bear^H5375 your fruit^H6529 for My people^H5971 Israel;^H3478 for they will soon^H7126 come.^H935
9'For, behold,^H2009 I am for you, and I will turn^H6437 to you, and you shall be cultivated^H5647 and sown.^H2232
10'And I will multiply^H7235 men^H120 on you, all^H3605 the house^H1004 of Israel,^H3478 all^H3605 of it; and the cities^H5892 will be inhabited,^H3427 and the waste^H2723 places^H2723 will be rebuilt.^H1129

13"Thus^H3541 says^H559 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 'Because^H3282 they say^H559 to you, "You are a devourer^H398 of men^H120 and have bereaved^H7921 your nation^H1471 of children,^H7921 "
14therefore,^H3651 you will no^H3808 longer^H5750 devour^H398 men,^H120 and no^H3808 longer^H5750 bereave^H7921 your nation^H1471 of children,^H7921' declares^H5002 the Lord^H136 God.^H3068
15"And I will not let you hear^H8085 insults^H3639 from the nations^H1471 anymore,^H5750 nor^H3808 will you bear^H5375 disgrace^H2781 from the peoples^H5971 any^H5750 longer,^H5750 nor^H3808 will you cause your nation^H1471 to stumble^H3782 any^H5750 longer,^H5750" declares^H5002 the Lord^H136 God.^H3068' "
16Then the word^H1697 of the Lord^H3068 came^H1961 to me saying,^H559
17"Son^H1121 of man,^H120 when the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 was living^H3427 in their own land,^H127 they defiled^H2930 it by their ways^H1870 and their deeds;^H5949 their way^H1870 before^H6440 Me was like the uncleanness^H2932 of a woman in her impurity.^H5079
18"Therefore, I poured^H8210 out My wrath^H2534 on them for the blood^H1818 which^H834 they had shed^H8210 on the land,^H776 because they had defiled^H2930 it with their idols.^H1544
19"Also I scattered^H6327 them among the nations,^H1471 and they were dispersed^H2219 throughout the lands.^H776 According to their ways^H1870 and their deeds^H5949 I judged^H8199 them.
20"When they came^H935 to the nations^H1471 where^H834H8033 they went,^H935 they profaned^H2490 My holy^H6944 name,^H8034 because it was said^H559 of them, 'These^H428 are the people^H5971 of the Lord;^H3068 yet they have come^H3381 out of His land.^H776'
21"But I had concern^H2550 for My holy^H6944 name,^H8034 which^H834 the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 had profaned^H2490 among the nations^H1471 where^H834H8033 they went.^H935

23"And I will vindicate^H6942 the holiness^H6942 of My great^H1419 name^H8034 which has been profaned^H2490 among the nations,^H1471 which^H834 you have profaned^H2490 in their midst.^H8432 Then the nations^H1471 will know^H3045 that I am the Lord,^H3068" declares^H5002 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 "when I prove^H6942 Myself holy^H6942 among you in their sight.^H5869

27"And I will put^H5414 My Spirit^H7307 within^H7130 you and cause^H6213 you to walk^H1980 in My statutes,^H2706 and you will be careful^H8104 to observe^H6213 My ordinances.^H4941
28"And you will live^H3427 in the land^H776 that I gave^H5414 to your forefathers; so you will be My people,^H1 and I will be your God.^H5971
29"Moreover, I will save^H3467 you from all^H3605 your uncleanness;^H2932 and I will call^H7121 for the grain^H1715 and multiply^H7235 it, and I will not bring^H5414 a famine^H7458 on you.
30"And I will multiply^H7235 the fruit^H6529 of the tree^H6086 and the produce^H8570 of the field,^H7704 that you may not receive^H3947 again^H5750 the disgrace^H2781 of famine^H7458 among the nations.^H1471
31"Then you will remember^H2142 your evil^H7451 ways^H1870 and your deeds^H4611 that were not good,^H2896 and you will loathe^H6962 yourselves in your own sight^H6440 for your iniquities^H5771 and your abominations.^H8441
32"I am not doing^H6213 [this] for your sake,^H4616" declares^H5002 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 "let it be known^H3045 to you. Be ashamed^H954 and confounded^H3637 for your ways,^H1870 O house^H1004 of Israel!^H3478"
33'Thus^H3541 says^H559 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 "On the day^H3117 that I cleanse^H2891 you from all^H3605 your iniquities,^H5771 I will cause the cities^H5892 to be inhabited,^H3427 and the waste^H2723 places^H2723 will be rebuilt.^H1129
34"And the desolate^H8074 land^H776 will be cultivated^H5647 instead^H8478 of being^H1961 a desolation^H8077 in the sight^H5869 of everyone^H3605 who passed^H5674 by.
35"And they will say,^H559 'This^H1976 desolate^H8074 land^H776 has become^H1961 like the garden^H1588 of Eden;^H5731 and the waste,^H2720 desolate,^H8074 and ruined^H2040 cities^H5892 are fortified^H1219 [and] inhabited.^H3427'
36"Then the nations^H1471 that are left^H7604 round^H5439 about^H5439 you will know^H3045 that I, the Lord,^H3068 have rebuilt^H1129 the ruined^H2040 places [and] planted^H5193 that which was desolate;^H8074 I, the Lord,^H3068 have spoken^H1696 and will do^H6213 it."
37'Thus^H3541 says^H559 the Lord^H136 God,^H3068 "This^H2088 also^H5750 I will let the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 ask^H1875 Me to do^H6213 for them: I will increase^H7235 their men^H120 like a flock.^H6629
38"Like the flock^H6629 for sacrifices,^H6944 like the flock^H6629 at Jerusalem^H3389 during her appointed^H4150 feasts,^H4150 so^H3651 will the waste^H2720 cities^H5892 be filled^H4392 with flocks^H6629 of men.^H120 Then they will know^H3045 that I am the Lord.^H3068"' "
