This revelation is not John, the revelation of Jesus given through John.

2Cor 3:18 But we all open face, as in a mirror, looking to the glory of the Lord, we are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord's Spirit.

This is a practical book.
The book abounds in words: showed, saw, witness, look.
This is a book of images.

TEMPTING OF JESUS

When Jesus fasted for 40 days, He was tempted by the devil and by the greatest temptation, the greatest offer was all the kingdoms of the world (Mat 4:8).
Price - not a cross, no suffering, but just bow to the devil. (Mat 4:8). I am far from the opinion that the devil showed Jesus the physical world. He showed all the demons, the spiritual world. The image from the book of Daniel is not just the kingdom of the world, but the fortress that the devil built.

IDOL

31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.
32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters ' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

BABILON

Dan 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.

First world power. The first successful attempt to unite the world. Traditional, in our understanding the king. There were no laws, no constitution, every word of the king is law, the king's desire is the law. The king is a 100% dictator. In Babylon, a well-known tower was built. It was the first capital of the world. Tradition says that then Nimron made contact with the spiritual world. Today, any cult in the world has a beginning in Babylon.
Babylon - the prototype of the kingdom of the devil, the dark forces.

MIDO-PERSIA

This empire transformed the world, everyone began to speak the same language. Culture, art, sport, philosophy.

GREECE

This empire transformed the world, everyone began to speak the same language. Culture, art, sport, philosophy.

ROME

State, constitution, civilization. Democracy. All these concepts originated in Rome. All these emperors received worship. Many of them were deified.

EUROPE

God's Kingdom can only come to a democratic society. It came to Russia earlier, but it did not give any fruit. The stone must fall into the feet of the image. Legs - Europe, did not connect. USA, Australia, America - Europeans. Today the world is ruled by Europe. Charles the Great, Charles IV, Napoleon, Hitler, the Communists tried to unite the world, but "will not merge with one another."

Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

The idol is something that is worshiped, it collapses from the top down.
Each next kingdom with less valuable metal, less bright, less soft, more fragile to decay, corrosion (metal) deeper.
Each next kingdom is lower.

Nevertheless, world empires have passed, more the world has never been one, these kingdoms have fallen, but has the kingdom of the devil fallen? No, we do not see that he was not at the helm, nothing in this sense has changed. These kingdoms, the time that humanity spent together, laid the foundation of today's world order.
                        

Israel: Judges Communicated with God, were called by God.
kings prophets.
David himself communicated with God.
World: Babilon prophet (Daniel).
Mido-Persia prophet seldom.
Greece emperor read the Scriptures.
Rome Christ crucified, prophets rejected.

JESUS REVALATION

Jesus appeared at different times to different people in the Bible.
  1. Dan 10 revalation for Daniel.
  2. Act 9:3-7;
  3. Act 22:6-16;
  4. Act 26:12-18 the same Jesus revealed to Paul.
  5. Mt 16:28-17:2,6;
  6. 1Jh 1:1-2;
  7. 2Pet 1:16-21
Jesus is revealed to Peter, John, and Jacob. It was not a vision, a dream, an image painted, fictional. Each of them saw the same Jesus, but described Him in his own way. However, in the book of Revelation Jesus is different from all His previous manifestations. Jesus appears before us among the lamps, with the stars in their hands. This difference from the image, which personified the world kingdom is transitory. Jesus represents the future Kingdom of God, growth. In fact, unlike the image of the image, Jesus is alive. The image is made of gold, silver, everything that people want to surround themselves, wanting to become happier. But things do not make a person happier. Jesus surrounds Himself with people, people make us happy.

Pr 30:18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:

     
  1. I came to God - my life has already become much better,  
  2. I will teach my son - his life will be even better,  
  3. he who does not know the world, will teach his son, he will be even better,  
  4. The fourth generation can still improve something.
Speaking of the generation, 4 is a lot.

Exo 20:5 Do not worship them and do not serve them, for I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of the fathers until the third and fourth generation, who hate Me,

Because 4 empires.

But Jesus has 7 stages. Once such a revelation was received by Peter, but he tried to attribute this not only to generations.

Mt 18:21 … and I forgive him? till seven times?

If you were paid 7 rubles, you would not find it much. 7 churches - 7 days of creation. 7 - number of holidays - time scale.

Ps 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
