6. RIGHT, LEFT AND NEW YEAR, or HOW TO GIVE GIFTS FOR A NEW YEAR
If you meet the New Year in a group (more than 7 people), then this idea is for you. So, everyone brings a gift for a New Year's party, it must be wrapped. All become in a circle and keep their gifts. Someone reads the New Year's story ( cm. below). Every time the word "left" sounds in the story (and all the derivatives from this word), each player passes his gift to the left, and when the word "right" (and all its derivatives) sounds, each player passes the gift to the right. 5. MESSAGE FOR THE FUTURE
Make small questionnaires for all participants of New Year's Eve. Give everyone, let each fill. This should be given time, let people slowly think, sum up the peculiar outcome of the past year. Then seal the questionnaires in separate envelopes and sign them. For example: "Message to Ivanov Oleg in the 2002nd New Year". Those. Everyone writes this message to himself. Choose a responsible person who will keep these messages, and the next New Year will give to the owners. 4. WE WILL PLAY IN THE POST
All probably know how to do it. I'll tell you just in case. All participants of the New Year's meeting are fastened with a number on their chests, put a special box, everyone writes letters, cards, etc. to each other. And throw in this box, indicating not the names of the recipients, but their numbers. At certain times, the box is opened and distributed by the recipient. You can do this and several times in the evening.
I suggest a little update the game. Instead of numbers, let each one come up with some name (the name of the Biblical hero or pop star, or politics, whatever you want). It is possible and suits to suit suit, and all evening call each other only on this invented name.
3. HOW TO GIVE GIFTS
There is one traditional way among Christians. A few days before the New Year, the names of all participants are written on separate sheets. They are put in a furry hat, everyone pulls one piece of paper on which and it is written, to whom he must give a gift. Also these few days everyone is praying for someone to whom gifts are given. At a certain moment, at the New Year's table, one gets up, pronounces a solemn speech and presents his gift. The one who received the gift in turn gives the next, etc., until everyone is "pardoned." Here there is a condition: no one should know in advance who gives whom to whom.

2. BUILD AN EVENING OF MEMORIES
It is necessary to observe two conditions: a small company (3-8 people) of people familiar to each other and preliminary preparation. The preparation is as follows. Let everyone bring photos (their and common), old postcards, received from any of the participants in the evening, letters or any questionnaires, in general subjects about which he himself may already be forgotten, but which will cause interest in others.
This evening of memories is held in the form of a friendly conversation. For example, it's interesting to remember how someone first came to church, or when he first said a prayer out loud, remember a joint trip, remember the old days, and then lived. It's also interesting to tell who first met each other and so on. You can also sing an old song about which everyone has already forgotten. In general, just slowly talk to each other, remember the good and the bad, remember what God has done in your life, pray together. Such memories will bring old friends together. And it's unlikely that you will ever be able to arrange such an evening of memories, if not for the New Year, when a lot of time, and no one is in a hurry anywhere.
1. PENALTY FOR PREVENTING
It happens that someone on New Year's Eve early starts to wander to bed or on the contrary behaves very actively and prevents others. You can arrange a small punishment for such offenders. At the very beginning of the evening, announce to everyone that the jury (or one of the participants of the evening) will observe everyone, then to choose suitable candidates. And so be it. I propose the following guilty and exemplary punishments for them:
- most sleepy - draw a bruise under the eye
- most disturbing - to put on three coats and three hats
- The glutton itself - hang a sign saying: "I GOT MORE THAN EVERYONE"
