ק֠וּם ^H6965 לֵ֧ךְ ^H1980 אֶל־^H413נִֽינְוֵ֛ה ^H5210 הָעִ֥יר ^H5892 הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה ^H1419 וּקְרָ֣א ^H7121 עָלֶ֑יהָ ^H5921 כִּֽי־^H3588עָלְתָ֥ה ^H5927 רָעָתָ֖ם ^H7451 לְפָנָֽי׃ ^H6440	2	"Arise,^H6965 go^H1980 to Nineveh^H5210 the great^H1419 city,^H5892 and cry^H7121 against^H5921 it, for their wickedness^H9567 has come^H5927 up before^H6440 Me." וַיָּ֤קָם ^H6965 יוֹנָה֙ ^H3124 לִבְרֹ֣חַ ^H1272 תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה ^H8659 מִלִּפְנֵ֖י ^H6440 יְהוָ֑ה ^H3068 וַיֵּ֨רֶד ^H3381 יָפ֜וֹ ^H3305 וַיִּמְצָ֥א ^H4672 אָנִיָּ֣ה ^H591 ׀ בָּאָ֣ה ^H935 תַרְשִׁ֗ישׁ ^H8659 וַיִּתֵּ֨ן ^H5414 שְׂכָרָ֜הּ ^H7939 וַיֵּ֤רֶד ^H3381 בָּהּ֙ לָב֤וֹא ^H935 עִמָּהֶם֙ ^H5973 תַּרְשִׁ֔ישָׁה ^H8659 מִלִּפְנֵ֖י ^H6440 יְהוָֽה׃ ^H3068	3	But Jonah^H3124 rose^H6965 up to flee^H1272 to Tarshish^H8659 from the presence^H6440 of the Lord.^H3068 So he went^H3381 down^H3381 to Joppa,^H3305 found^H4672 a ship^H591 which was going^H935 to Tarshish,^H8659 paid^H5414 the fare,^H7939 and went^H3381 down^H3381 into it to go^H935 with them to Tarshish^H8659 from the presence^H6440 of the Lord.^H3068	καὶ^G2532 ἀνέστη^G450 Ιωνας^G2495 τοῦ^G3588 φυγεῖν^G5343 εἰς^G1519 Θαρσις ἐκ^G1537 προσώπου^G4383 κυρίου^G2962 καὶ^G2532 κατέβη^G2597 εἰς^G1519 Ιοππην^G2445 καὶ^G2532 εὗρεν^G2147 πλοῖον^G4143 βαδίζον εἰς^G1519 Θαρσις καὶ^G2532 ἔδωκεν^G1325 τὸ^G3588 ναῦλον αὐτοῦ^G846 καὶ^G2532 ἐνέβη^G1684 εἰς^G1519 αὐτὸ^G846 τοῦ^G3588 πλεῦσαι^G4126 μετ᾽^G3326 αὐτῶν^G846 εἰς^G1519 Θαρσις ἐκ^G1537 προσώπου^G4383 κυρίου.^G2962
וַֽיהוָ֗ה ^H3068 הֵטִ֤יל ^H2904 רֽוּחַ־^H7307גְּדוֹלָה֙ ^H1419 אֶל־^H413הַיָּ֔ם ^H3220 וַיְהִ֥י ^H1961 סַֽעַר־^H5591גָּד֖וֹל ^H1419 בַּיָּ֑ם ^H3220 וְהָ֣אֳנִיָּ֔ה ^H591 חִשְּׁבָ֖ה ^H2803 לְהִשָּׁבֵֽר׃ ^H7665	4	And the Lord^H3068 hurled^H2904 a great^H1419 wind^H7307 on the sea^H3220 and there was a great^H1419 storm^H5591 on the sea^H3220 so that the ship^H591 was about to break^H7665 up.	καὶ^G2532 κύριος^G2962 ἐξήγειρεν^G1825 πνεῦμα^G4151 εἰς^G1519 τὴν^G3588 θάλασσαν,^G2281 καὶ^G2532 ἐγένετο^G1096 κλύδων^G2830 μέγας^G3173 ἐν^G1722 τῇ^G3588 θαλάσσῃ,^G2281 καὶ^G2532 τὸ^G3588 πλοῖον^G4143 ἐκινδύνευεν^G2793 συντριβῆναι.^G4937
וַיִּֽירְא֣וּ ^H3372 הַמַּלָּחִ֗ים ^H4419 וַֽיִּזְעֲקוּ֮ ^H2199 אִ֣ישׁ ^H376 אֶל־^H413אֱלֹהָיו֒ ^H430 וַיָּטִ֨לוּ ^H2904 אֶת־^H853הַכֵּלִ֜ים ^H3627 אֲשֶׁ֤ר ^H834 בָּֽאֳנִיָּה֙ ^H591 אֶל־^H413הַיָּ֔ם ^H3220 לְהָקֵ֖ל ^H7043 מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֑ם ^H5921 וְיוֹנָ֗ה ^H3124 יָרַד֙ ^H3381 אֶל־^H413יַרְכְּתֵ֣י ^H3411 הַסְּפִינָ֔ה ^H5600 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב ^H7901 וַיֵּרָדַֽם׃ ^H7290	5	Then the sailors^H4419 became^H3372 afraid,^H3372 and every^H376 man^H376 cried^H2199 to his god,^H430 and they threw^H2904 the cargo^H3627 which^H834 was in the ship^H591 into the sea^H3220 to lighten^H7043 [it] for them. But Jonah^H3124 had gone^H3381 below^H3381 into the hold^H3411 of the ship,^H5600 lain^H7901 down,^H7901 and fallen^H7290 sound^H7290 asleep.^H7290	καὶ^G2532 ἐφοβήθησαν^G5399 οἱ^G3588 ναυτικοὶ καὶ^G2532 ἀνεβόων^G310 ἕκαστος^G1538 πρὸς^G4314 τὸν^G3588 θεὸν^G2316 αὐτῶν^G846 καὶ^G2532 ἐκβολὴν^G1546 ἐποιήσαντο^G4160 τῶν^G3588 σκευῶν^G4632 τῶν^G3588 ἐν^G1722 τῷ^G3588 πλοίῳ^G4143 εἰς^G1519 τὴν^G3588 θάλασσαν^G2281 τοῦ^G3588 κουφισθῆναι^G2893 ἀπ᾽^G575 αὐτῶν·^G846 Ιωνας^G2495 δὲ^G1161 κατέβη^G2597 εἰς^G1519 τὴν^G3588 κοίλην τοῦ^G3588 πλοίου^G4143 καὶ^G2532 ἐκάθευδεν^G2518 καὶ^G2532 ἔρρεγχεν.
וַיִּקְרַ֤ב ^H7126 אֵלָיו֙ ^H413 רַ֣ב ^H7227 הַחֹבֵ֔ל ^H2259 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ^H559 ל֖וֹ מַה־^H4100לְּךָ֣ נִרְדָּ֑ם ^H7290 ק֚וּם ^H6965 קְרָ֣א ^H7121 אֶל־^H413אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ ^H430 אוּלַ֞י ^H194 יִתְעַשֵּׁ֧ת ^H6245 הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים ^H430 לָ֖נוּ וְלֹ֥א ^H3808 נֹאבֵֽד׃ ^H6	6	So the captain^H9538 ^H2259 approached^H7126 him and said,^H559 "How^H4100 is it that you are sleeping^H7290? Get^H6965 up, call^H7121 on your god.^H430 Perhaps^H194 [your] god^H430 will be concerned^H9440 about us so that we will not perish."	καὶ^G2532 προσῆλθεν^G4334 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτὸν^G846 ὁ^G3588 πρωρεὺς καὶ^G2532 εἶπεν^G2036 αὐτῷ^G846 Τί^G5100 σὺ^G4771 ῥέγχεις; ἀνάστα^G450 καὶ^G2532 ἐπικαλοῦ^G1941 τὸν^G3588 θεόν^G2316 σου,^G4771 ὅπως^G3704 διασώσῃ^G1295 ὁ^G3588 θεὸς^G2316 ἡμᾶς^G1473 καὶ^G2532 μὴ^G3165 ἀπολώμεθα.^G622
וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ ^H559 אִ֣ישׁ ^H376 אֶל־^H413רֵעֵ֗הוּ ^H7453 לְכוּ֙ ^H1980 וְנַפִּ֣ילָה ^H5307 גֽוֹרָל֔וֹת ^H1486 וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה ^H3045 בְּשֶׁלְּמִ֛י ^H7945 הָרָעָ֥ה ^H7451 הַזֹּ֖את ^H2063 לָ֑נוּ וַיַּפִּ֙לוּ֙ ^H5307 גּֽוֹרָל֔וֹת ^H1486 וַיִּפֹּ֥ל ^H5307 הַגּוֹרָ֖ל ^H1486 עַל־^H5921יוֹנָֽה׃ ^H3124	7	And each^H376 man^H376 said^H559 to his mate,^H7453 "Come,^H1980 let us cast^H5307 lots^H1486 so we may learn^H3045 on whose^H4310 account^H7945 this^H2088 calamity^H9567 [has struck] us." So they cast^H5307 lots^H1486 and the lot^H1486 fell^H5307 on Jonah.^H3124	καὶ^G2532 εἶπεν^G2036 ἕκαστος^G1538 πρὸς^G4314 τὸν^G3588 πλησίον^G4139 αὐτοῦ^G846 Δεῦτε^G1205 βάλωμεν^G906 κλήρους^G2819 καὶ^G2532 ἐπιγνῶμεν^G1921 τίνος^G5100 ἕνεκεν^G1752 ἡ^G3588 κακία^G2549 αὕτη^G3778 ἐστὶν^G1510 ἐν^G1722 ἡμῖν.^G1473 καὶ^G2532 ἔβαλον^G906 κλήρους,^G2819 καὶ^G2532 ἔπεσεν^G4098 ὁ^G3588 κλῆρος^G2819 ἐπὶ^G1909 Ιωναν.^G2495
וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ ^H559 אֵלָ֔יו ^H413 הַגִּידָה־^H5046נָּ֣א ^H4994 לָ֔נוּ בַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר ^H834 לְמִי־^H4310הָרָעָ֥ה ^H7451 הַזֹּ֖את ^H2063 לָ֑נוּ מַה־^H4100מְּלַאכְתְּךָ֙ ^H4399 וּמֵאַ֣יִן ^H370 תָּב֔וֹא ^H935 מָ֣ה ^H4100 אַרְצֶ֔ךָ ^H776 וְאֵֽי־^H335מִזֶּ֥ה ^H2088 עַ֖ם ^H5971 אָֽתָּה׃ ^H859	8	Then they said^H559 to him, "Tell^H5046 us, now!^H4994 On whose^H4310 account [has] this^H2088 calamity^H9567 [struck] us? What^H4100 is your occupation^H4399? And where^H370 do you come^H935 from? What^H4100 is your country^H776? From what^H335 ^H2088 people^H5971 are you?"	καὶ^G2532 εἶπον^G2036 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτόν^G846 Ἀπάγγειλον^G518 ἡμῖν^G1473 τίνος^G5100 ἕνεκεν^G1752 ἡ^G3588 κακία^G2549 αὕτη^G3778 ἐστὶν^G1510 ἐν^G1722 ἡμῖν.^G1473 τίς^G5100 σου^G4771 ἡ^G3588 ἐργασία^G2039 ἐστίν;^G1510 καὶ^G2532 πόθεν^G4159 ἔρχῃ,^G2064 καὶ^G2532 ἐκ^G1537 ποίας^G4169 χώρας^G5561 καὶ^G2532 ἐκ^G1537 ποίου^G4169 λαοῦ^G2992 εἶ^G1510 σύ;^G4771
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ^H559 אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם ^H413 עִבְרִ֣י ^H5680 אָנֹ֑כִי ^H595 וְאֶת־^H853יְהוָ֞ה ^H3068 אֱלֹהֵ֤י ^H430 הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ ^H8064 אֲנִ֣י ^H589 יָרֵ֔א ^H3373 אֲשֶׁר־^H834עָשָׂ֥ה ^H6213 אֶת־^H853הַיָּ֖ם ^H3220 וְאֶת־^H853הַיַּבָּשָֽׁה׃ ^H3004	9	And he said^H559 to them, "I am a Hebrew,^H5680 and I fear^H3372 the Lord^H3068 God^H430 of heaven^H8064 who^H834 made^H6213 the sea^H3220 and the dry^H3004 land.^H3004"	καὶ^G2532 εἶπεν^G3004 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτούς^G846 Δοῦλος^G1401 κυρίου^G2962 ἐγώ^G1473 εἰμι^G1510 καὶ^G2532 τὸν^G3588 κύριον^G2962 θεὸν^G2316 τοῦ^G3588 οὐρανοῦ^G3772 ἐγὼ^G1473 σέβομαι,^G4576 ὃς^G3739 ἐποίησεν^G4160 τὴν^G3588 θάλασσαν^G2281 καὶ^G2532 τὴν^G3588 ξηράν.^G3584
וַיִּֽירְא֤וּ ^H3372 הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ ^H582 יִרְאָ֣ה ^H3373 גְדוֹלָ֔ה ^H1419 וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ ^H559 אֵלָ֖יו ^H413 מַה־^H4100זֹּ֣את ^H2063 עָשִׂ֑יתָ ^H6213 כִּֽי־^H3588יָדְע֣וּ ^H3045 הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים ^H582 כִּֽי־^H3588מִלִּפְנֵ֤י ^H6440 יְהוָה֙ ^H3069 ה֣וּא ^H1931 בֹרֵ֔חַ ^H1272 כִּ֥י ^H3588 הִגִּ֖יד ^H5046 לָהֶֽם׃ ^H1992	10	Then the men^H376 became^H3372 extremely^H3374 ^H1419 frightened^H3372 and they said^H559 to him, "How^H4100 could you do^H6213 this^H2088?" For the men^H376 knew^H3045 that he was fleeing^H1272 from the presence^H6440 of the Lord,^H3068 because^H3588 he had told^H5046 them.	καὶ^G2532 ἐφοβήθησαν^G5399 οἱ^G3588 ἄνδρες^G435 φόβον^G5401 μέγαν^G3173 καὶ^G2532 εἶπαν^G3004 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτόν^G846 Τί^G5100 τοῦτο^G3778 ἐποίησας;^G4160 διότι^G1360 ἔγνωσαν^G1097 οἱ^G3588 ἄνδρες^G435 ὅτι^G3754 ἐκ^G1537 προσώπου^G4383 κυρίου^G2962 ἦν^G1510 φεύγων,^G5343 ὅτι^G3754 ἀπήγγειλεν^G518 αὐτοῖς.^G846
וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ ^H559 אֵלָיו֙ ^H413 מַה־^H4100נַּ֣עֲשֶׂה ^H6213 לָּ֔ךְ וְיִשְׁתֹּ֥ק ^H8367 הַיָּ֖ם ^H3220 מֵֽעָלֵ֑ינוּ ^H5921 כִּ֥י ^H3588 הַיָּ֖ם ^H3220 הוֹלֵ֥ךְ ^H1980 וְסֹעֵֽר׃ ^H5590	11	So they said^H559 to him, "What^H4100 should we do^H6213 to you that the sea^H3220 may become^H8367 calm^H8367 for us?" – for the sea^H3220 was becoming^H1980 increasingly^H1980 stormy.^H5590	καὶ^G2532 εἶπαν^G3004 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτόν^G846 Τί^G5100 σοι^G4771 ποιήσωμεν^G4160 καὶ^G2532 κοπάσει^G2869 ἡ^G3588 θάλασσα^G2281 ἀφ᾽^G575 ἡμῶν;^G1473 ὅτι^G3754 ἡ^G3588 θάλασσα^G2281 ἐπορεύετο^G4198 καὶ^G2532 ἐξήγειρεν^G1825 μᾶλλον^G3123 κλύδωνα.^G2830
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ^H559 אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם ^H413 שָׂא֙וּנִי֙ ^H5375 וַהֲטִילֻ֣נִי ^H2904 אֶל־^H413הַיָּ֔ם ^H3220 וְיִשְׁתֹּ֥ק ^H8367 הַיָּ֖ם ^H3220 מֵֽעֲלֵיכֶ֑ם ^H5921 כִּ֚י ^H3588 יוֹדֵ֣עַ ^H3045 אָ֔נִי ^H589 כִּ֣י ^H3588 בְשֶׁלִּ֔י ^H7945 הַסַּ֧עַר ^H5591 הַגָּד֛וֹל ^H1419 הַזֶּ֖ה ^H2088 עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ ^H5921	12	And he said^H559 to them, "Pick^H5375 me up and throw^H2904 me into the sea.^H3220 Then the sea^H3220 will become^H8367 calm^H8367 for you, for I know^H3045 that on account^H7945 of me this^H2088 great^H1419 storm^H5591 [has come] upon you."	καὶ^G2532 εἶπεν^G2036 Ιωνας^G2495 πρὸς^G4314 αὐτούς^G846 Ἄρατέ^G142 με^G1473 καὶ^G2532 ἐμβάλετέ^G1685 με^G1473 εἰς^G1519 τὴν^G3588 θάλασσαν,^G2281 καὶ^G2532 κοπάσει^G2869 ἡ^G3588 θάλασσα^G2281 ἀφ᾽^G575 ὑμῶν·^G4771 διότι^G1360 ἔγνωκα^G1097 ἐγὼ^G1473 ὅτι^G3754 δι᾽^G1223 ἐμὲ^G1473 ὁ^G3588 κλύδων^G2830 ὁ^G3588 μέγας^G3173 οὗτος^G3778 ἐφ᾽^G1909 ὑμᾶς^G4771 ἐστιν.^G1510
וַיַּחְתְּר֣וּ ^H2864 הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים ^H582 לְהָשִׁ֛יב ^H7725 אֶל־^H413הַיַּבָּשָׁ֖ה ^H3004 וְלֹ֣א ^H3808 יָכֹ֑לוּ ^H3201 כִּ֣י ^H3588 הַיָּ֔ם ^H3220 הוֹלֵ֥ךְ ^H1980 וְסֹעֵ֖ר ^H5590 עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ ^H5921	13	However, the men^H376 rowed^H2864 [desperately] to return^H7725 to land^H3004 but they could^H3201 not, for the sea^H3220 was becoming^H1980 [even] stormier^H5590 against^H5921 them.	καὶ^G2532 παρεβιάζοντο^G3849 οἱ^G3588 ἄνδρες^G435 τοῦ^G3588 ἐπιστρέψαι^G1994 πρὸς^G4314 τὴν^G3588 γῆν^G1065 καὶ^G2532 οὐκ^G3364 ἠδύναντο,^G1410 ὅτι^G3754 ἡ^G3588 θάλασσα^G2281 ἐπορεύετο^G4198 καὶ^G2532 ἐξηγείρετο^G1825 μᾶλλον^G3123 ἐπ᾽^G1909 αὐτούς.^G846
וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ ^H7121 אֶל־^H413יְהוָ֜ה ^H3068 וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ ^H559 אָנָּ֤ה ^H577 יְהוָה֙ ^H3068 אַל־^H408נָ֣א ^H4994 נֹאבְדָ֗ה ^H6 בְּנֶ֙פֶשׁ֙ ^H5315 הָאִ֣ישׁ ^H376 הַזֶּ֔ה ^H2088 וְאַל־^H408תִּתֵּ֥ן ^H5414 עָלֵ֖ינוּ ^H5921 דָּ֣ם ^H1818 נָקִ֑יא ^H5355 כִּֽי־^H3588אַתָּ֣ה ^H859 יְהוָ֔ה ^H3068 כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר ^H834 חָפַ֖צְתָּ ^H2654 עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ ^H6213	14	Then they called^H7121 on the Lord^H3068 and said,^H559 "We earnestly^H577 pray,^H577 O^H577 Lord,^H3068 do not let us perish on account of this^H6 man's life^H2088 and do not put^H5315 innocent^H5414 blood^H5355 on us; for Thou, O Lord,^H1818 hast done^H3068 as Thou hast pleased.^H6213"	καὶ^G2532 ἀνεβόησαν^G310 πρὸς^G4314 κύριον^G2962 καὶ^G2532 εἶπαν^G2036 Μηδαμῶς,^G3365 κύριε,^G2962 μὴ^G3165 ἀπολώμεθα^G622 ἕνεκεν^G1752 τῆς^G3588 ψυχῆς^G5590 τοῦ^G3588 ἀνθρώπου^G444 τούτου,^G3778 καὶ^G2532 μὴ^G3165 δῷς^G1325 ἐφ᾽^G1909 ἡμᾶς^G1473 αἷμα^G129 δίκαιον,^G1342 ὅτι^G3754 σύ,^G4771 κύριε,^G2962 ὃν^G3739 τρόπον^G5158 ἐβούλου^G1014 πεποίηκας.^G4160
וַיִּשְׂאוּ֙ ^H5375 אֶת־^H853יוֹנָ֔ה ^H3124 וַיְטִלֻ֖הוּ ^H2904 אֶל־^H413הַיָּ֑ם ^H3220 וַיַּעֲמֹ֥ד ^H5975 הַיָּ֖ם ^H3220 מִזַּעְפּֽוֹ׃ ^H2197	15	So they picked^H5375 up Jonah,^H3124 threw^H2904 him into the sea,^H3220 and the sea^H3220 stopped^H5975 its raging.^H2197	καὶ^G2532 ἔλαβον^G2983 τὸν^G3588 Ιωναν^G2495 καὶ^G2532 ἐξέβαλον^G1544 αὐτὸν^G846 εἰς^G1519 τὴν^G3588 θάλασσαν,^G2281 καὶ^G2532 ἔστη^G2476 ἡ^G3588 θάλασσα^G2281 ἐκ^G1537 τοῦ^G3588 σάλου^G4535 αὐτῆς.^G846
